**General Rental Terms and Conditions**

**1. Booking and Payment** 1.1. A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit equal to 50 % of the total rental amount. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the arrival date. 1.2. Payments may be made by \[bank transfer/credit card/other methods]. 1.3. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking. **2. Security Deposit** 2.1. A refundable security deposit of €250 is required and must be paid \[at the time of booking]. 2.2. The security deposit will be refunded within 30 days after departure, provided no damage or excessive cleaning is required. 2.3. Deductions may be made for damages, loss of items, or additional cleaning fees. **3. Check-In and Check-Out** 3.1. Check-in is from 3 :00 PM and check-out is by 12 :00 PM. 3.2. Early arrival or late departure may be arranged in advance, subject to availability and additional fees. 3.3. Guests must present valid photo identification upon arrival. **4. Occupancy and Use** 4.1. The maximum capacity of the villa is 8 persons. Exceeding this limit without prior approval may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund. 4.2. The villa is intended for private residential use only. Hosting events, parties, or commercial activities is prohibited without prior written consent. 4.3. Guests are responsible for maintaining the property in good condition and for respecting neighbors and local regulations. **5. Cancellation Policy and Force Majeure** 5.1. **Cancellation and Refund**  Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the arrival date will receive a 50 % refund of the total rental amount. 5.2. **Non-Refundable Cancellation**  Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the arrival date are non-refundable. 5.3. **Force Majeure**  In the event of force majeure—including storms, floods, heavy rains, thunderstorms, cyclones, earthquakes, government restrictions (lockdowns, curfews, administrative closures, travel bans, etc.), or any other comparable natural or regulatory event—these circumstances being entirely beyond the host’s control, the host cannot be held liable for any damage, loss, or inconvenience arising therefrom. No refund, stay postponement, or compensation will be granted on these grounds. 5.4. **Public Utility Disruptions**  The host is not responsible for temporary or prolonged interruptions to utilities (water, gas, electricity, internet, telephone, etc.), regardless of cause. No compensation or refund may be claimed for such incidents beyond the host’s control. 5.5. **Sargassum and Coastal Nuisances**  5.5.1. In Guadeloupe, the occurrence of sargassum seaweed, associated odors, and related inconveniences is a natural phenomenon widely reported by the media and beyond the host’s control.  5.5.2. Public authorities have installed diversion nets to limit sargassum from reaching the coast.  5.5.3. In case of failure, insufficiency, or unavailability of this system, the host cannot be held responsible for seaweed, odors, or related nuisances. No refund, rate reduction, or compensation may be demanded on these grounds. **6. Generator and Water Supply** 6.1. **Generator**  The villa is equipped with an emergency generator. In the event of its failure or malfunction, the host cannot be held responsible, as they depend on local maintenance providers’ schedules and responsiveness. 6.2. **Domestic Water Tank (ACS)**  The villa has a sanitary water tank supplied by the public network. If the tank runs dry due to a prolonged public water outage, the host cannot be held responsible for this unavailability. 6.3. **Interventions**  For both systems (generator and water tank), the host undertakes, as soon as notified of a problem, to contact the appropriate service providers without delay to arrange repair or reactivation. **7. House Rules** 7.1. Smoking is prohibited inside the villa. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas. 7.2. Pets are not permitted on the property. 7.3. Quiet hours are from 11 :00 PM to 6 :00 AM. Guests must minimize noise during these hours. **15. Complaints and Reporting Issues** 15.1. Any complaint regarding the condition of the accommodation, cleaning, equipment, or any other incident must be submitted in writing (email or internal messaging) to the host within 72 hours of check-in. 15.2. Your complaint should describe the issue in detail and, if possible, be accompanied by photographs or supporting documentation. **7. Pool Rules** 7.1. Use of the pool is at guests’ own risk. Children must be supervised at all times. 7.2. Diving, running, or rough play in or around the pool is prohibited. 7.3. Glass containers are forbidden in the pool area. Please use plastic or unbreakable items. 7.4. Pool hours are from 7 :00 AM to 10 :00 PM. Please respect quiet hours. 7.5. Guests are responsible for ensuring the pool alarm is used as instructed when the pool is not in use. **8. Keys and Remote Controls** 8.1. Guests will receive \[number] keys and \[number] remote controls upon arrival. 8.2. Loss or damage of keys or remote controls will incur a €30 replacement fee per item. 8.3. Guests must return all keys and remote controls upon departure. Failure to do so may result in deductions from the security deposit. 8.4. Guests are advised to keep keys and remotes secure and not to duplicate or lend them to unauthorized persons. **9. Liability** 9.1. The host is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or illnesses occurring on the premises. 9.2. The host is not responsible for loss of guests’ personal belongings or valuables. 9.3. Guests are advised to obtain travel insurance to cover potential losses or unforeseen circumstances. **10. Maintenance and Repairs** 10.1. The host will ensure the villa is in good working order before guests arrive. 10.2. Guests must promptly report any maintenance issues or damage. 10.3. Repairs due to normal wear and tear will be covered by the host. Damages caused by guests will be deducted from the security deposit. **11. Applicable Law** 11.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Guadeloupe. 11.2. Any dispute under this agreement will be resolved by the courts of Guadeloupe. **12. Acceptance of Terms** 12.1. By confirming a booking, guests acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
